A new piece of the skyline is being built in Covington at the foot of the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge. The OneNKY Center, a 45,000-square-foot office building owned by the Northern Kentucky Port Authority, will break ground on Wednesday in a ceremony with Gov. Andy Beshear, state Sen. Chris McDaniel and Covington Mayor Joe Meyer. The event will start at 10 a.m. at the construction site − now a parking lot − at 209 Greenup St. The $26 million OneNKY Center will be a headquarters office building for the following area non-profit groups and regional organizations dedicated to elevating tourism, business and economic development: OneNKY Alliance, Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, meetNKY, BE NKY Growth Partnership, The Catalytic Fund of Northern Kentucky, Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky and the Northern Kentucky Bar Association.
