COVINGTON, Ky. â Officials reopened the Roebling Suspension Bridge in Covington after a bomb threat closed the bridge early Wednesday morning. The Bomb threat came in through the Covington Police Department. The U.S. Coast Guard also shut down water traffic under the bridge while investigators cleared the bridge. According to CPD, the Kenton County Dispatch received a bomb threat from an unknown person. Police said the person specifally threatened the Roebling Suspension Bridge. Covington Police and Fire responded and closed the bridge.
