A new rooftop restaurant and bar has arrived in Greater Cincinnati. Opal Rooftop Restaurant & Bar opens on the seventh floor of the Republic Bank building at 535 Madison Ave. in Covington on Friday. A VIP reservation-only happy hour takes place from 4:30-10:30 p.m. Opal will officially begin accepting reservations Tuesday, Oct. 3. According to a press release, Opal is the third installment within the portfolio of local restaurateurs Bill and Morgan Whitlow. The new eatery has unique, chef-driven menu items made from fresh and local products, as well as craft cocktails and a variety of wine.
